Well, I'm going to pretend that steaming pile of bs that dominated that last couple of posts on this topic never happened.

I gave the site a 7, because it's good, but it's not perfect, and could do with some improvement. On the other hand, I think the site is steadily "coming into it's own" and will sooner or later fix most or all of it;s problems by itself in the coming months. I'm looking forward to being able to change my rating.

Plus, you know, 7 is supposed to be a lucky number, fair fortune to SP!

Then why did you suggest it?  or were you not thinking it through?  I suggest that you actually think through your suggestions before posting them. That might be more productive.

Try being mature. Again, your post sounds full of anger. Go back up and reread my previous posts for the answer.

Actually, you are.  Your first post pointed out fluff.  You did not go into detail.  Without detail, we can only assume you meant the site itself.  Thus your statement is false.

The glossary term "scanning" is wrong. What more detail do you need?

Thee who throws the first punch can expect a punch back.  Calling a site fluff is a serious action.  You came in looking for a fight.  You came in, didn't introduce yourself, and your first post was vague and negative. You then proceed to demiss any arguement with childish excuses and suggest something that is completely thoughtless.  You still have yet to introduce yourself.

Yes, yes. You know my true intentions, don't you? Did you scan me? </sarcasm>

Funny you should mention that because your past record of actions and feelings have shown differently.  Strange that you got so over worked and personally went out of your way to make it clear you did not like me over a simple and stupid rating on a site.

At least I've changed since then. Can't say the same about you.

We stopped and took it to PM, didn't we?

You know, if I didn't know better, I could have sworn this post was incredibly obnoxious and rude...  Shocked Hmm..

Well Notagh, aside from the glossary problem, what other problems that you see and what can you recommend for answers.  Please keep them doable and reasonable.

For me, at least, I can't think of problems so much as I don't really feel like this site is perfect, hence the 7.

Umm, I suppose I had much too high of an expectation for SP... I was hoping for a lot of quirky, cool experiments and other stuff where we psions could all use our collective psionic ability to, I dunno, levitate a textbook or something. Or write one, for newbies.

I'm just realizing that everyone's mortal, and that this site isn't Olympus. With that in mind I'm going to try several interesting experiments in the next couple of months, some of which you are already aware of. For one, I was thinking it's more than about time we finished up the World Flare series with a nice shining bow. If anyone has the list of participants from psiworld, please pm me, I think I might have accidentally deleted it..  Undecided

I don't think that's too high of an expectation. I think the problem is just that a lot of the people here are beginners. A lot of knowledge does not equal skill. Even though most of the people here can talk about very advanced Psionics, I'm betting few of them, if any, can pull it off. That's not a bad thing, it's just a lack of practice.

I think if this place ever grew to PsiPog's size and more advanced people emerged/came over the years, you could do things like that.

No one on this site has ever talked about advanced psionics (Or any type of magick), at least on the site. I can't remember a single post on anything advanced on any of the psiworlds I was on or this site.

No offense, but your statement indicates that you know a lot less than you are trying to sound like.

And it is too high of an expectation to expect enough random people on the internet to devote time and energy to perform some task that seems meaningless to day to day life to develop any decent amount of useful information through forum experiments or writing a book. The latter probably wouldn't even contain any new information...

Hmmmm.....This thread is  just for people to rate the site, as it is now......not to discuss knowledge vs skill, or how many beginners are here, or what fluff is or is not or how fluffy the site sounds or does not sound, or how it relates to other sites, or to puff feathers up and strut around in power plays.

The Topic question is clear.  'Rate this Site'.  If you have suggestions for improvement, mention those and  pm them.

9. This site has never been difficult to navigate, but I still don't understand how the chatroom works. When you ask someone for help, they act like a teacher with a degree, they will help, but never mislead you. None of the articles are fluffy, but some sections of certain articles need to be described in further detail or clarified. No one speaks in text, or unreadable code. This is the least fluffy, easy reading and all around best psi site I've seen.

This happened over 2-3 months ago.  The poll will be kept open, but the thread will be locked.  Thank you all for your opinion.
