Post your own introduction!

You may be new to the site, or also new to psi. Either way here's a idea of how to introduce yourself to us:

Name - Either your real name or your screen name will suffice
Age - You don't have to put your age, but it helps get to know each other
Country/State - Depending on your country, you may not have states
Hobbies - What do you like to do in your free time?
How you found this site - We would like to know how you found us!
Why are you interested in psi - Give us a better idea of how to help your psionic progress
What skills do you have - While you can list physical skills, this is more of a "What have you accomplished in the psionic realm" question
Goals - What you wish to accomplish
Other details - This is your opportunity to flourish creatively and tell us what makes you unique.  Help us get to know you better

Please don't post your introduction in another person's.  It's considered rude and doesn't give you the attention you deserve.

Apollo's Introduction

Hey,

My name is Chris (I'm fine being called Apollo if you are more comfortable with that) and I'm from Chicago.  I've been studying psionics for a bit over 9 years now, with a primary focus on Psychokinesis.  Recently, however, I have stopped actively practicing due to time constraints.  Feel free to ask me questions about any aspect of psionics, since I have a background in all areas.  My strongest responses will be related to Psychokinesis or Telepathy.

I've been an administrator or moderator on over a dozen psionic websites so far.  I'm an ex-PsiPog moderator, created and owned Psi-Links, administrated PsiWorld, was a moderator on PsiClub (it turns out there are actually 3 communities with this name), and was a moderator or administrator on many others that have since died, been taken offline, or just not mentioned.

I programmed ShiftedPerspectives completely from scratch, so I'm the one to contact if you have a problem with the site or forum.  I am attending Southern Methodist University (SMU - no religious affiliation despite the name) in Dallas, Texas.  My major is Computer Science with a specialization in cybersecurity and a double major in Mathematics, so I'm also open to any technology questions  Tongue.

I enjoy video games (of course), golf, fishing, flying (I actually have my pilot's license), programming, web development, dating (you'd be amazed at how social I, a nerd, am), and having fun.

I'm almost always on AIM and MSN, so feel free to leave me a message on those even if I'm not around.  I check my email like a paranoid schizophrenic, so also feel free to email me.  I also check this forum for private messages a lot.

I hope you all enjoy Shifted Perspectives.  I have put many hours into its programming.  If anyone thinks of any features that would be cool, feel free to contact me.  Any idea, no matter how "bad", "strange", or "lame" it is, I'd love to hear it.

Even though I don't post a lot in these forums, I do check them a lot.  When I find a thread that I am interested in, I make sure my response is well-researched and supported so if you request a resource to backup my claims, I can supply them (I am interested in medicine as well, so those threads will draw me in more).  If you have a specific thread or post you would like me to look at and respond to, PM or contact me and I'll be sure to respond to it.

See you around!

Sincerely,
Chris ~ Apollo

The Adfeng's Introduction

Hi guys, I'm The Adfeng, or as most of you know me as Cu.  My real name is Jonathan, but I prefer to be called Cu.

I joined PsiWorld when it was on ProBoards, went with it to freehostia, then to our own forum, and then joined ShiftedPerspetives when it opened, still being a mod.  I'm 15, and been into psionics since I was about 7.  I live in North Carolina in the USA.  As you can probably tell, I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts fan.  I like to write some in my free time, play xbox 360, and play some online games.

Now, because of some events, I am one of the admins of SP.

I found PsiWorld when I was about 7, which I know that's real young.  I didn't become very active until I was about 10, and when ShiftedPerspectives was made I moved over here.

My main interests in psionics is shielding, which is also considered my best skill.  I also aim to improve a construct I have made called "Sentinels".  Essentially, they are a all in one construct.

While here at SP, I hope to grow in psionics and help all others who wish to learn more.  I love hanging out with friends, and talking to people on IM, which I do all the time.

I go to a early college high school named Challenger High School, where I take high school classes along with real college classes.  After I graduate, I will have an Associates of the Arts, along with some other classes that I will eventually take for programming.  My goal in the future is to be a software designer or engineer.  And that's about it for me.  If you have any questions about me or anything else, feel free to shoot me a PM or IM!

Thanks a bunch and enjoy your time here,

The Adfeng/MBSD/Cu

Honorable_Psion's Introduction

Hey, honorable_psion here!  I'm really excited to be starting as a moderator here on shifted perspectives!  A lot of you probably know me from either psipog, psilinks, or psiworld.  But if you don't know me, I am a huge fan of anime and video games, I am working on getting my degree in microbiology so I can work with my mentor on gene therapy projects, and I have been practicing psionics for a number of years now.  If you have any questions about psionics you can always feel free to come to me with them.  Also, if you want, please feel free to refer to me as HP.  It's kind of my nickname.  Wink

Oreus' Introduction

"Guess who's back... back again..."

That's right: it's everyone's favourite half-sarcastic, half-serious, all-knowledgeable super-Psion Oreus! *puts on Troy McClure voice* Many of you know me from such sites as PsiPog (as SgtPsion), PsiStudies (as Theophilus), or PsiWorld (as Oreus!).

In all seriousness though, I've been a member of the psionic community since 2004, at the age of 14 (for those of you who can't count: I'm currently 19). I started off on PsiPog, experimenting with Psiballs and PK, then moving onto DMILS, specifically dealing with inducing and removing sensation. Eventually (2006) that ability faded (along with my interest in it) and I began practicing telepathy. I found I had an affinity for telepathy, and so have been a practicing teep ever since.

I'm also quite knowledgeable in the research history of psionics and am in my third year of a Philosophy degree, so if you have any questions about either of these subjects, send me a PM and I'll do my best to help you out.

Stolide's Introduction

Demens, Stolide Demens.

*Cue James Bond Theme Song*

I'm stolide, a 17 year old college student who happens to be into magick amongst a variety of other things. I'm double majoring in microbiology and philosophy and will likely end up as either a biotechnologist or a doctor depending on how poorly I do in my classes. I do a bit of digital painting, poetry, writing and gaming as well. In regards to music, I'm mostly into gothic rock (Undead undead undead...).

As far as magick goes, I was a born on telepath. I started doing meditation and hypnosis at the age of 11. I started actively practicing psionics and various forms of magick at the age of 13. I focus on energy manipulation almost exclusively. I usually use various forms of tech, though I do not limit myself to one specific paradigm.

I'm always up to teach those who are new to magick what I know about things. I've also written a great deal of articles and things on magick and psionics. At the time of writing this intro, it's up to around 40 pages. If you ever want help with magick or psionics just ask and I'll see what I can do to help. Do keep in mind that I'm not particularly good at psychokinesis however.

*Fade to Black*
