Greetings!

I think it's been something like two and a half years since I've been involved in psionic activity... but, I'm back!

(I don't know if anyone is left from the internet community I used to know but if you are, message me and say hello Smiley )

To all those that I don't know (which, I suspect, is most of you), I look forward to learning with you all.

The one and only,
~MonkeyFace.

I remember you!  You might remember myself as Cu or MBSD.  Welcome back to the forums.  Have fun, stay safe, and learn lots.  If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to shoot me a PM.  Once again, welcome back!

No, I remember you as The Adfeng, I think I have your msn somewhere... Thanks!

Online psionic community seems to have grown hell of a lot quieter. This is my only old haunt that seems (barely, if you don't mind me saying) active.

EDIT: The only other active forum I can find that's at all active is Psion Guild. What happened? Did people just grow tired with it?

Attention faded from the majority of boards.  The likelihood of a new member cold-approaching into an OEM is unlikely.  Without any previous experience whatsoever, it's just not something the average person would be highly likely to seriously join into.

Most OEMs focused on educational content, specifically beginner-friendly educational content.  This was unsustainable as the rate of newcomers decreased significantly, rendering many OECs without their cause, and the leftover communities began to stagnate and decrease in size as well as activity.

Any theories as to why there was such a decrease in newcomers? I remember when I was last around that there was a little dip but I assumed it was just a simple fluctuation. Clearly, that wasn't the case...

There's a fluctuation in popularity for everything, as can be clearly seen in modern pop culture. The same applies to psionics, which has never been a very popular thing. After a while, you're just out of newcomers, and people who finally realize how much work it takes to actually do something per who realize that they'll never do any DBZ stuff will start to leave. That leaves us with a very, very small community and very few new members.

I guess we'll just have to hope for some more traffic on the forum while we keep it alive! Smiley
