Should ShiftedPerspetives shut down January 18th, the day where many websites will be shutting down for the day to show that we don't support the SOPA/PIPA that got passed recently?

Yes. I'm not American, so neither SOPA nor PIPA affect me, but neither should be passed.

Even if all of us here disagree with PIPA/SOPA, it will serve as a statement.

To all you Americans out there, take action! Make calls, send letters, do whatever you can to oppose PIPA/SOPA. This needs to stop before it begins. If there's anything I can do, as a European, please tell me. I'm willing to help.

Personally, I think that it should be alright to shut down the site for a day. Even though I do not live in America I think that SOPA is a really wrong thing to implement, I don't think it would affect much people here as, most of us should probably be against SOPA right?
I bet most of the people is America is against SOPA right?

Just do some quick research on it.  SOPA and PIPA.  SOPA is the same thing as the COICA act which got declined.  However, SOPA(Stop Online Piracy Act) was bundled with PIPA(Protect IP Act), and was passed easily.
