Hm, I'd like to add in my 2 cents.
I think everyone should stop worrying how "dead" the site is. A community does not die out of the blue.
It needs people to survive. As long as the people are there it won't die. It sounds to me like fairly standard economics. First you have a big demand, so people start creating more sites like this. As demand dies down, which it always does, so do the sites without a community. When those sites start losing people, other people are getting scared and "run" towards the big players, the stable sites. Unfortunately, in the OEC community there aren't a whole lot of stable sites. Since this site is still up and running, I would call it: alive and kicking.
