Today and tomorrow you may experience intermittent downtime.  To get ready for SPv2, I require PHP version 5.3.6 and the server we are on right now runs version 5.2.4.  Therefore, we are being transferred to a new server.  Unfortunately, due to how domain names work, this may cause slight downtime for certain people, a well as a different branch of activity (half of the people may be going to the site on the new server, and half on the old server).  This can cause a slight loss of data since if you post on the old server, that data will not be updated on the newer server.

I will try my best to merge the two databases when the time comes, but I just wanted to let you all know that if you experience connection issues, this is whats going on.  It should be quick and relatively painless....but it will be totally worth it once you see what you are getting  Wink

If you are seeing this post, you are now on the new server and will not experience any more downtime.

Unfortunately, there still is a slight lag that you guys have lived through.  Some people are still only able to access the website on the old server, so they are not posting on this one.  That problem should correct itself very soon.

Everything is now 100% complete (it probably was a couple days ago too).

Sorry for the triple post.

If anybody experiences slight downtime again, I apologize.  It would appear that a small hacker group (again) is targeting ShiftedPerspectives and trying to take it down....again.  I am actively thwarting them and working with our webhosts to trace and possibly catch them.

If you cannot connect to the forum briefly (or the site), just click refresh a couple times.  I have multiple redundancies in place so the website won't stay down for more than a minute or so.
