The Memories of 2014 ~ 24th May 2011, around 11:00 P.M. So I was talking to my friend Chase Valentine… And I told him I was feeling the tug again. The “tug” is this Spark deep in my chest, pushing me to go to war, to train myself, to discipline and condition myself. To survive… well anyways… The spark grew. It erupted. It spread throughout my chest, engulfed my thoughts. I was speechless… or at least thoughtless. I peered into it… and it was beautiful. I saw a grass field, with a blue sky and a forest to the left. As I sat in awe, the “camera” came into a sharper focus. I was sitting on my bed, in The Compound. (The resting place for military personnel.) I was wearing a dark blue shirt, black boots and dark blue jeans. My dog tags were cold against my chest, and I was admiring my knife. My friend (Chase Valentine) was on the bed next to me, lying down and petting his snake Casi. From what I got it from the memories, it’s 3 years from now. The war is over, and we’re rebuilding… A voice on the intercom came on; I couldn’t tell what it said. I couldn’t hear, only feel, see, and hear my thoughts at the present time. It told us to report to… somewhere. We put on our green camouflage jackets, and took off. We came to this building, and The Director told us we’ve been doing a great job, and thing’s shimmer and fade for a bit, and then we’re going through camp. There are so many thoughts in my head, and it’s all military so I kind of get confused. Me and chase grab our packs, and have our teams gather at the center of The Compound. (Yes, we’re leading.) We leave the camp at the main entrance and head into the forest, uphill. Things slow down for a bit, I get lost in the trance of my usual hiking run. Chase shoots a rabbit, and we press on. We come across the lake, and refill our canteens. I kneel and cup the water with my hands. Mmmmm… the water’s delicious. I got my taste back and a look at my reflection… I’m different. My hair is long, and I got scars everywhere. I don’t have any facial hair but a 5:00 shadow (a little stubble.) Jeremy, (one of my team,) won’t shut up about the plants. This is where I get another sense back… Telepathy. My mind is linked to ALL of the plants around me. EVERYTHING from the smallest leaf to the grandest oak, all linked with energy. I’m also linked to Chase, and Casi, (his Ball Python.) We leave, and head back to camp. Just as we hit a small clearing in the trees, a Panther jumps out of the bushes… but it’s a weird panther. It’s light grey, with dark grey spots inside medium gray spots, kind of like a leopard. We square off for a bit, and it pounces. Before I could react, it got me against a tree. I see… blue. Like when one would see red, only it’s blue… I pull the trigger, my gun fires. It’s pretty big, an automatic machine gun, Idk what caliber. I leave a trail of bullets from its stomach to its neck, and it falls to the side, dead. Chase helps me up. George picks up the panther, throws it over his shoulder and says “Nice one Damian… It’ll be a nice trophy to show your family.”….. The memory cuts out, and resumes back in the compound. The teams gone, Chase and I are walking up to my tent, (the home I would be using if I wasn’t military personnel.) My… my son. Eric. He’s beautiful… He’s got deep, ocean/sapphire blue eyes, dark hair, still a baby, wrapped in a sky blue security blanket. He’s being held by my wife, she has the same eyes, blond, and she’s smiling… I feel pure joy. I cannot express it. George throws the panther down by the entrance to the tent, and leaves to find some food. Chase and I go back to our compound after I kiss my family goodbye, and call it a night…. The rest is fuzzy, and may have been corrupted, so I’m just going to explain what the hell happened to the world. The natural disasters were just the beginning; the world was trying to save itself. After we survive the disasters, it starts to revive the beasts that died off a long time ago…. I can’t explain them. They’re… they’re the stuff of nightmares, but we STILL survive. Eventually, the Earth gave up. Humans had learnt their lesson, and earth was ready to commingle. We… I can’t explain it. We fused with the plants. We didn’t physically change, but mentally. Our final evolution was connecting with life around us… It’s beautiful. I got a few memories during science of the time between Natural disasters and the monsters, about a year and a half from now… Me, my team, Chase and his team or cornered behind some rocks. There’s lava everywhere, and the beasts are simply watching from a distance as we’re locked in a firefight with an unknown enemy… There’re explosions around us, Gregory is shot and wounded but he’s still fighting. 2 of my men are blown up in an explosion. I’m leaning against my rock; the enemy has got heavy fire on me… I hear a *tink,* and a grenade rolls up a few feet from my foot. I run to it as low as I can, grab it, stand up and CHUCK IT. It hits the enemy’s machine gun nest, killing all but a few. I scream, “Charge!!!” and we hop over the rocks, but as I go to jump, it fades to black… ******** This happened last night, scared the shYt out of me and yet made everything make sense. The spark, the training... All of it.
