I'm starting to crack down on my training and i was able to almost get there last night however fell asleep so when i woke up i tried again. However when i tried i felt a weired sensation through my body and i stopped because i didn't know what to do next and i kinda got stuck. So i wanted to ask what sensations to expect when attempting to astral project and what to expect to happen when i leave my body.

You wake up and see a dragon with the wings of a angel and a the eyes of a devil with a thirst of knowledge.
Do you dare to pet it?

You did to show kindness and the dragon disappears.
You wake up only to find me waiting on you porch.

Do you mean the sleep paralysis? If you do it's not that bad

I can get all of the various signs and stuff, but I can never let myself go deep enough to AP.
There's a specific state I found I can leave in, but I can't get to it that way. Here's the easiest way for me. I wake up in the morning an hour or half an hour early. Start falling back asleep. There's like 3 ways it works for me dependant on the state. The first way is to brute force my way out. Essentially crawling out. It shouldn't be used unless you're sure you half asleep. If I am having sleep paralysis/mild halucinations(or dreams I'm half asleep), I visualize my body slowly spinning out. The last way I've only done once and is more for a lucid dream. I kept my mind occupied until the trance state tripped in, almost fell asleep, had a hypnogagic image, and "attached to it" or "stretched it out" or something, into a dreamscape. It turned into my second longest LD/AP of 1 hour.

The main thing you should feel are strong vibrations, occurring simultaneously in your whole body. Consciousness plays the main role in succeeding with astral projection. The key of achieving astral projection is to shift the consciousness from your physical to your astral body. There are plenty of techniques to achieve that, but if done right, the outcome will be the same. I find ap hard to achieve if you are consciously trying to project, however there are a couple of tricks that can help you to project. One of them, perhaps the most important one has already been stated by Mech. Direct techniques for succeeding in astral projection have the same fundamentals:
1. Relaxation of your physical body
2. Relaxation of the mind aka trance states
3. Becoming aware of your astral body
4. Shifting all your consciousness to your astral body
5. Projection
The first two steps can be bypassed if you can enter the state that Mech was talking about (Half-asleep). OT, don't expect anything, just observe and you'll do right.
