Just out of wonder, why isn't there a public teaching construct here on these forums like they do on veritas?

Seems like a decent idea.. but what are your opinions on such a project and why?

To connect to the construct, you need to be able to connect to the construct. Stolide tried making one. It had problems with accessibility to the target group. In other words, if people could connect, they didn't need the skills it would teach.

Once again the good ol' frequent routine of practice trumped "Get Good Quick" schemes.

That is a construct attatched to an image (in this case a magic-style sigil) that is designed to help people with focal meditation. The idea is that by performing focal meditation on the image that the construct is attatched to, the energy and programming of the construct will seep through and help the meditator enter a state of concentration (the "focal state") a little faster.

So it is not a "teaching" construct, exactly. It is more like a "help a student learn concentration by helping the student feel what concentration is" construct. An aid, not an instruction. The bulk of the work is still on the person meditating.

This precisely. Though do note, practicing in order to connect with the construct will teach you most of what was wanted by connecting to the construct, and as such it could indirectly teach what I set out to.

As it stands now, it (Breggan) is connected with many other magickal networks. Connecting to it during meditation can be interesting, but do not expect it to teach you magick any better than practicing consistently would. It can, however, give you alternative ideas about your practices as the thoughts it brings about will be different than those you would typically have. Always remember that the creation of energetic networks, and using them, can be a bit "dangerous." It puts you in contact with more people and entities than is typical. Most will be fine, but when you reach great numbers, you are bound to hit something less than savory. Breggan has been attacked a couple times (and the person doing it declared as much quite loudly, though apologized later) and survived very much intact. Breggan is probably one of the safer energetic networks out there. A few members on here helped with the creation. I know Adfeng and Arnick worked on it. I think Mech may have. There were probably a couple other people I am forgetting.

If you are a bit more adventurous, try using Ellis. You can find information on her here: http://deathbylollipop.com/forum/index.php?board=12.0 Ellis is a Linking Sigil (L S) that many chaotes incorporate into their rituals to link more and more into her. I have personally used her many times and found the experiences to be precisely what I was looking for. Others have found her a bit on the malevolent side, so be wary.

If you do end up trying out Breggan, make sure you do it more than once. It takes a bit for it to become accustomed to you. Also, if you get any interesting results, post them. The boards are a bit dead, and that which is there is a bit on the boring side.

LS is quite fun, it boosts performance. It's drawback is that it uses other constructs/rituals/ect that are also linked to bring about the effects. If you throw the Ellis sigil on a sigil you made, it's now getting used in the web by all other people linking through Ellis to get similar effects. You give up privacy for effects.

I don't recommend using it as a novice, the entity representation of Ellis tends to turn against unprepared or disrespectful individuals just using her. The sigil has loads of variations as well.

Last thing, just slapping down the original sigil alone has effects, mainly creating chaos around the tagged area. Putting it on your body is not recommended for fear of stubbed toes and strife.

So does Ellis, but I've got nothing as far as defenses go, so that's not yet a good idea
