I do not see why it makes all that much of a difference to be honest.
One thing that really perked me up was the possibility of psionics games, especially flash-based or multiplayer ones.  I also would really like that explicit picture experiment program replicated as a game.  I think such an immediate and primal reward system for psionic ability could definitely help improvement.  By all means feel free to remain pessimistic, however.
Edit: Looking at this it could look like the above is a bit waspish toward stolide, so I will clarify:  I mean the last sentence literally, without animosity or sarcasm.

Notagh, I am planning on recreating that game.  I will have to figure out what to do with the "explicit picture part", though.  I will probably have to make an "over 18 years old" version of the game...  I'll figure that out when I get there.

And also, yes, there will be many games (and some multiplayer).
You prob read this already, but just to be sure: they originally used pictures that are usually used for research of that kind.  It is available on request, I think.  It also said the experiment didn't work for males with the set of pictures so they had to find better ones on the internet for men, but it worked on women lol.  Either way it's something effective.  Gotta admit gotpsi is boring by comparison.
The programs could be interesting, but I was referring to the blogs.

Also, I do not fail to recognize that I tend towards pessimism. Tongue
While optimists can sometimes be less stressful to be around, optimists that keep trying the same thing optimistically are arguably functioning lunatics.

Yes, I know.  I have been in contact with them about it.  These pictures, however, are still explicit and will probably require you to be 18 years or older to view it...

For what it's worth, there have been other psychology studies using pictures done (though not psi-related ones) that have observed effects using combinations of pictures that are calm, violent, pleasant, disturbing, fear inducing, emotionally charged, neutral, etc.  Granted, explicit pictures trigger a primal response, but they are hardly the only type of picture that could be used for this type of thing.  Researching what kind of response (emotional/primal/physiological) might be generated and therefore what pattern of responses might indicate the usage of psi would allow you to avoid using images that might be considered questionable.

Example: sexually explicit images generate a strong attractive physiological response, violent images that induce fear generate a strong avoidant physiological response.  The experiment would have to be reverse in a way to account for avoidant vs. attractive, but would still be similar.  (Either way, some kind of disclaimer/informed consent about the types of images included and their possible negative effects on those viewing would be necessary.)

Woah there, Apollo.  I'm in it for the interesting results!    xD

Putting violent, scary images would be even worse than explicit imagery, and it also has the secondary possibility of not affecting us because we've become desensitized to violence on a screen.
You could always just put cute kittens or non-explicit (Clothed) imagery.  Violent imagery...  I don't think that's a good idea.

Maybe instead of something like that use something softcore?  Or that's what they use, I believe.

It is still under development, don't worry.  I would predict a launch date of sometime in April.

It has had some delays due to server requirements, other (more pressing) projects (AKA: paid jobs and/or school), and a complete redo of the template.

Don't worry....it will come  Wink
