I mentioned starting up an art and poetry site a few days ago, so here I am asking about it.

The primary set up would be that one would post up a piece of writing, art, or music, and then the other members would give advice. There are obviously other sites for this, but smaller communities have a different feel to them.

If I set up such a site, how many of you would create at least one such piece of work a week, and post it?

If I do not get at least 3 people (other than myself) to commit themselves to this, I am not going to bother.

I would be glad to submit something if you make the site. Grin Anyone else willing to?

Submitting once a week would be difficult on my behalf. Most likely I would hardly post anything up at all. I am willing to give my input, assuming the site is created, on others' work.

May I ask why it would be so difficult? All it takes is a scanner, or camera, of some sort. Even a camera on a phone is sufficient. Tongue

I don't have a scanner. Time will also be of the issue; most likely I will be busy with sports and homework. I go to a prep school, so homework won't also be something I can be done with in an hour. I don't have a camera, and I tried connecting my phone to my computer. It just kept having problems; sometimes the phone wouldn't work afterward for like an hour. It's just too much of a hassle to draw/write something, take a picture on my phone, then uploading it to my computer.

Hopefully you will get around that some day. If you start taking art as a serious hobby in the slightest, you should do so anyways, or get a tablet. The Wacom Bamboo (cheapest model of the good brand of tablets. I have one and love it. I used it for both that skull painting there and the portrait of Poe) runs about $60.

Perform an evocation of Amazon, and demand oracle regarding the price of the Wacom Bamboo.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=bamboo+wacom&ih=9_2_0_1_0_0_0_0_0_1.152_186&fsc=-1

The model I have is the $60 one. There is a cheaper newer one that looks like it has similar specs. It comes with decent software as well.

I am interested, but I would only be able to submit 1 piece every two weeks because school is starting back in a couple of weeks for me.

That works as well. The problem is when people post no art on an art site.

That appears to be the case.
