I'm thinking about practicing remote viewing but some things confuse me such as how  much information do I need about my target to scan it. If I was to RV my friend's house would I need to know things like where it is, what it looks like, or what's in it? Also is there visualization involved or does the information just come to you? Huh

Little to none.  Just someone to scan, a name, a picture, that's it.

Surliat, the reason why Adfeng said this is to prevent AOL, which is to say Analytical OverLay. In other words, you mix your own beliefs with actual information you are gaining from the target, thus decreasing ones accuracy. Like Adfeng said, you pretty much need only those three things mentioned above ^. Any more and it would be front-loading the RVer (front-loading is kind of like encouraging AOL to occur).

For example, if I told you to RV my house and I told you that my house was red, partly made of bricks, and that my room was big and has pictures all around and has a cyan paint to it, you would see that instead of what it actually is.
