Hmm I heard the term Reiki and looked it up. It has to do with healing through touch. This interested me. Does anybody know if this works? I have a wife who is unable to feel love and I hear voices. I wonder if learning to channel love to her would change her attitude. For me I hear voices that are somewhat unpleasant. I am wondering if Reiki can fix that. I understand it is taught in alot of alternative medicine circles as well as in traditional education. Does anybody have an example where Reiki fixed something in their life. I do not want to pay some quack to do this. I want to learn it myself to see for myself if it works.

No idea if it does.  Why not try it and see, and report back after a little bit of time?  Just be careful.

the idea of reiki, itself, is just another type of belief. It is like energy healing, I suppose, but with different beliefs, different methods, I think its more spiritual too. the concept itself is still the same as energy healing, though.

Greetings:  I've been teaching Usui and other Reikis for almost 20 years,  The energy involved is a form of high quality chi that moves through you and out your hands,  You can actually self attune for all levels of Usui Reiki -- see the link for that and for another attunement possibility. Ultimately, many "challenges" can be helped energetically.  In all events i have never heard that it can be harmful, or that it didn't do some good.  Good luck  !!

Yes, it's no fun to hear voices, day to day, year after year.. About doing reiki to heal it, is a very interesting question.

My belief, is that the reason the voices come, is because someone might have had a trauma in their life, their psyche not being able to handle it. So the voices comes as a safeguard or something.. I really don't know. The doctors say that there is no cure for it. But the doctors just think in traditional medicine. So what I mean is that physical medicine won't do anymore than supress it. The professionals have never thought about the alternate ways to heal, like reiki and other healing methods.

But it is a dilemma. If the voices say alot of negative things, why would the voices say things that hurt you if they arise from your own psyche? I really can't understand this. So maybe it can be an outside influence?

You could get someone here to scan you, to search for links, critters, and the like. And you should always follow up on your doctor's advice, without just thinking it is something metaphysical.

You should try zen, or another form of meditation. It may help.

If you want to train in psionics, you should have an experienced teacher. To help you in the beginning. And if you are afraid you are being attacked, and it may just be an illusion, as I heard you worried about in an other post, why not just train in pure defence, and not offence?
