I hate to be another one of those guys, but I want to discuss the expanding of ones awareness.

In many articles on sensing it would say to move your awareness, and feel what the psi feels like. I think that doesn't do much for some people. I was thinking about it and have a question.

When your awareness is "elsewhere", do you feel with your mind, or does your body feel? I mean, is there supposed to be some sensation, or you just go off what your mind tells you it feels like? I can feel psi on my body, but I can't be sure what results I should be getting from an expanded awareness.

for me it usually is like being in that other place and seeing with my eyes but not actually being present in body. Most often I don't feel many sensations that are normally experienced as if you were there in person, like if it was really hot where I am viewing I would not feel heat. Often times though I can feel psi related stuff thought such as someone noticing me or feelings of others etc. But this is all very different person to person I believe. Not really a right or wrong way.

See I am trying to feel psi at a range but can only really feel it on my skin. My mind will tell me what it feels? Of course, you say it is different from person to person, but I don't want to mix up imagination and results.

There was actually a small period in college in which I was smelling and tasting psi, very odd. Only lasted a couple days thank God lol

Lol. Sounds like some funky misinterpretation by your brain, like synesthesia with psi.

If I could add on a bit to what Templar is saying here: I think you should see your imagination as a strength in this particular area. Think of it like learning a new language, we don't have built-in terms to describe color when we first experience it (as infants for example). Our brain simply presents us with the information as best it can and later we learn the name for that sensation. When you learn a new language, the association is a little different because you already have terms for everything. When you are trying to sense psi energy, your brain is, in a sense, trying to describe the sensation to you in a way that you will be able to interpret. Having said all that to say this: The next time you think it's your imagination, pay attention to it! Try to figure out what the symbols/sensations/colors mean to you. Your brain is "learning" how to tell you what you want to know and the more you practice the better you'll get!

Wow. That is a very profound explanation! What I have so far is a kind of pressure when I move around my awareness, like I am trying to wade through waist high water.

I found an article by, "MonkeyFace" on the tkforums.com that is real useful for learning how to sense energy.

One theory is that our conciousness exists outside the body.

The brain is merely a quantum entanglement based interface board, connecting the conciousness to the body. Perhaps people in Near Death Experiences are looking down at their body from the perspective of the "conciousness" while the brain/inerface mechanism is disrupted.
