So, Ive noticed a lot of topics get locked on Combat, but Ill ask this anyways. Do you think that there should be a group of skilled Psions dedicated to helping others who are under attack? ive seen a few of these 'Hunting Lodges" and I wanted everyones opinion.

There is not normally a need for such things. People who are able to get themselves into truely dangerous situations, are generally good enough to deal with these things by themselves, or with their personal associates.

People who would do that are not disciplined enough to do much of anything, much less anything of consequence.

The only thing to worry about would be unconscious vamps. These can almost always be stopped with simple shielding.

If I know anyone that runs into any problems in this area I offer to help shield them as long as it isn't them who initiated everything, because if they screwed something up, I'm not helping them fix it.  It's their mistake and they will learn from it.

If it's a bigger problem I'll see what I can do.  But, other than that, don't do anything stupid and you'll be fine.  Do something stupid and you'll regret it.  I've learned from experience to not mess with things that aren't meant to be messed with.

What if they somehow fool you into believing that they were not the initiators when they, in fact, were?
It would be unfortunate if you were to suffer such an indignity, no?

AOL inducing constructs are not uncommon.

I'm having trouble understanding your line of relevancy there, stolide.  Do you mind elaborating?

AOL is the most efficient way of doing this, particularly against those who are new. Many people experience AOL a lot anyways, making it even slightly more likely to happen has a great effect.

I meant more of a "HELP! I got attacked for no reason" sort of sob story after someone "accidentally" tried to blow up someone else's energy body..  Although I suppose AOL would be less obvious, depending.

Hilariously, something like that has happened before and it didn't end well for that person, or me in the short run.  I investigate anyways to see what happened.

Same as me but I try to be neutral at all times.
