Any thought that would make this thread possible for humanity?

My thought a human who could create stem cells in his body and just regrow his arms.

How about others' opinions?

Maybe that is how some people grow a fifth limb. Who knows( I just offended chuck norris, my B). I would think that it would be bad if the army found out that you could do this because then you would probably get recruited into the army.

Wouldn't it be possible if someone had the ability to recreate stem cells in his body and using it for later use?

That's some pretty advanced healing, regrowth I mean.  You idea on how to achieve it sounds logical, but you would need to make the cells grow faster if you wanted the limb back faster.  That would require a lot of energy too

I remember correctly, your bone marrow already has stem cells in it to replenish your blood. If you tried you could probably move these stem cells to your wounds and use them to completely regenerate, and since stem cells can constantly renew themselves and effectively have no life limit, you could also probably stop aging as well. Once I get good enough I plan on experimenting with this, but of course I'm not going to hack off my arm to see if I can regrow it.  Grin

Then again, I'm accident prone so I might get the chance to try whether I like it or not.

I read about one scientist who measured the electrical current in the stump of a lizard that could regrow its limbs, and then measured a frog, which naturally couldn't. He then used a small batter to mimic the lizards charge in the frogs stump, and the frog managed to nearly completely regenerate the limb. It's something I'd look into if you're interested.

Cool. I'm also accident prone. Hey, I remember a show in discovery that they were searching for an vaccine for a kind of disease and tested it on mice but when they try to tag the mouse the mouse would end up having regenerated the hole in its ear. But hey tell me if everything is ready for your experiment.

Will do. Granted it might be quite awhile before I can get around to doing it, plus healing isn't exactly my forte.  Tongue
I never heard of that vaccine test, sounds interesting.

Nice to know I'm not the only accident prone guy here. I finally feel like I've found my home. *Crys manly tears of happiness*
Just kidding. XD

LOL. But anyway, I had progress in healing though. I was healing my grandfather the other night. He can't even stand up anymore (too bad for him), After a few days he can properly sit and even grab things somewhat far away from him.

I was actually just watching a video.  This Dr. Atell guy grows cells in his lab and puts them on a mold that disintegrates as the cells take its place.  It was pretty cool.  I'm not sure about the specifics

I think I saw that one. But there are time that they actually print the cells in 3-d. I'm not really sure how they can do it but it was a nice video to watch.
