I apologize for the bad information, I re-read where I got my information and it seems that i misunderstood it. There are animals that can see different spectrums of light than humans( bees can see into the ultra-violet spectrum), so that trait could be adapted, but not "learned" (depending on the particular wavelength, it does seem hard to believe that something could see ionizing light)
